Path Type
Loop
Going counter clockwise, this is a fun and swooping trail. Near the end however, there is a climb that is sprinkled with 8" rocks that will fight you on every other step. There is no free lunch!
This one-mile loop starts by hugging the top of a small ridge in the trees. The two rock sculptures mark the beginning of a smooth, swooping downhill that ends with a hairpin turn about 1/3 of a mile in. Immediately after the turn, you'll encounter the a few medium size steps down.
Following the steps, the trail returns to rolling topography that trend downhill. At the 2/3-mile mark, you'll make a hard left, go over a fallen tree, and then a hard right over some erosion control rocks.
The last 1/3 mile starts with a brief section of downhill that is your last chance to take a breath before a 1/4 mile climb that is anything but easy. 6" and 8" rocks at every other step will have you breathing hard when you get back to the top.
