Kahakapao East

The east side of the Kahakapao singletrack starts a short distance up the doubletrack from the kiosk. Stay right for the trail following the red badges on the trees. Serving as the climb for the Kahakapao Loop, the east side is a steady grade but not necessarily steep. It winds through mostly dense forest with several turns. The trail is generally smooth, covered with leaves and has a few roots to keep you engaged. The top of the climb brings you to an intersection. Stay right here to continue on Kahakapao West or turn left to access Fong Ridge Road.
