Loop
Park at the Brooklyn Lake Trailhead and head out on Sheep Lake Trail #389. Follow this well-maintained trail until a junction around 3.9 miles, where you'll take a left on to Gap Lakes Trail #108. Follow this trail all the way until the Gap lakes, where the trail slightly disappears across a short talus/boulder field. Just aim for the visible trail shortly past this talus/boulder field, and you'll be fine. Once on this trail, you'll come across another trail junction where you take another left toward Brooklyn Lake on the Lost Lake Trail #395;it is about 3.5 miles back to the trailhead. There are a couple short turn offs along the trail that you can do if you want to visit more alpine lakes. Enjoy the alpine lakes at every turn and the abundant wildlife! At this elevation, the trail is usually manageable with low to no snow early July until early to mid-October.
