Turkey Mountain Red Trail

This trail is marked with red blazes and can be accessed from the top of the 100 Steps Trail or on the other end at Lakeshore Drive in Montville. The section of this trail from Lakeshore Drive to the Yellow Trail is not marked on the New York/New Jersey Trail Conference Map. It can be confusing if you are referring to the map. I have the most recent map (2016). Maybe future maps will show this section. The Red Trail shares the same path as the Yellow Trail for a short distance and the Green Trail for a short distance. The Red Trail ascends to a highpoint on Turkey Hill; however, there are no views to speak of.
