Description
Calloway Creek Trail can most directly be accessed from the Adair Village parking area of Oregon State University Research Forest. This is a small gravel parking area, with space for less than 10 cars. More parking can be found south on 99W at the Peavy Arboretum area. From the Adair parking area, head up the gravel forest Road 540. Calloway Creek Trail crosses Road 540 less than 0.1 miles from the parking area, and then again farther up the hill. From the Peavy Arboretum parking area, Calloway Creek Trail can be gained by connecting Forest Road 500 and Road 540, or by using the Intensive Management Trail. Calloway Creek is also opened to mountain bikers and is popular with families and dog walkers. Typically, this area of the Oregon State Research Forest is less crowded than sections closer to Corvallis.
