Description
This short trail can be started from either end. There is a marker on the northwest side of the lake. It is not a one way trail so you can choose to start at the opposite end also from the main parking area. Follow the shore around the lake to the midpoint, where the small dam is. There are great view of the Blood Mountain to one side, woods to the other with the dam overspill. The marked short spur trail here takes you downhill slightly to the waterfall with an observation deck. Once back to the top at the main trail, just follow it fully around the lake, over a short bridge with the entrance road to your left, then you are at the cooking pavilion area and large main parking lot in front of the office.
