Description
Starting from the cinnamon trail junction, the trail slowly descends through a sparse young alpine forest with partial exposure. After crossing a paved forest road, the terrain begins to change as the trail approaches closer to the Kalama River. Crossing a couple of dirt roads later the trail begins to approach the river and you transition to a lush dense forest and approach the top of Kalama Falls where you can explore a nice rocky area above the falls. Continue on to get views from the side of the falls and find a spur down to the river level. The trail continues on a short way to end at a road.
