Description
The Pine Lick Trail follows the creek before crossing back over the road and enter a wide, forested valley with an active creek. You'll cross back and forth over the creek multiple times, needing to rely on trees and rocks to avoid wading in the water. Near a lean-to shelter, the trail splits with the well-blazed blue trail continuing to the left. You start climbing and eventually reach the intersection with the Purple Twin Oaks Trail near Old Cumberland Road. The Twin Oaks Trail meanders south through a wide range of forest and fauna until rejoining the blue Pine Lick Trail at the lean-to shelter.
