Description
This trail is a heavily forested 6 miles, traversing through the Roosevelt National Forest and culminating at the Troublesome Dam site. Long, and somewhat technical, this trail can be used to connect to other trails in the area, or as a great out-and-back. The South Saint Vrain Trail is a perfect example of chunky, old-school trail. It's nearly continuously littered with large embedded rocks, water bars, and steeper eroded sections. South St. Vrain leads from FR 96 to the Brainard Lake Recreation Area.
