Description
This segment of !Rocky Mountain Greenway follows the east edge of Standley Lake and then crosses into Westminster Hills Open Space. It is a collection of paved and unpaved paths in the south starting at Little Dry Creek Trail, crossing under 86th Parkway and following the shore of Standley Lake north until it joins a series of two tracks and dirt roads below the Standley dam, intersects the terminus of Big Dry Creek Trail, climbs along the spillway, passes the campground and Standley Lake North Open Space Park and Nature Center, then crosses W 100th Avenue into Westminster Hills Open Space where it eventually dead ends at the north edge of the park. Eventually, the !Rocky Mountain Greenway is intended to connect the 3 National Wildlife Refuges in the Denver area with Rocky Mountain National Park, but very little is complete as yet.
