From the roadside, pull off on Devils Garden Road and head north on this flat, well-defined trail. In less than 1/4 of a mile, round the corner of a rock fin and see Skyline Arch. On a cold November night in 1940, a large chunk of rock fell out of the arch, instantly doubling the size of its opening. Late afternoon is thought to be the best time to photograph Skyline Arch for the best color.
