Head past the gate and porta potty and stay right onto the trail. This will start near a small creek. Soon, you'll be traveling through a lush forest with trees all around you. There aren't many views on the way up, but the forest you are hiking through will gather most of your attention. You'll pass a trail junction for Upper Valley Junction, follow signs to "Stevens Creek Trailhead" until you get to the rocks of Sharon. On your way to the rocks of Sharon, you'll catch your first glimpse of the valley that separates you from your return trail. Once you get to the rocks of Sharon, stay left at all trail junctions: the first one is unmarked. At the second, follow signage to the "Rocks Of Sharon Viewpoint."From here, it is all downhill. You'll follow the well-maintained trail. The only junction is the crossover is the one from Upper Valley Junction. Continue down through the varied landscape. This will be much more opened from you climb offering great views of Spokane Valley. You'll get back to the porta potty and trailhead.
