Goose Pond and Drummer HIll

This route begins at the Goose Pond Trailhead on East Surry Road and heads east along a mellow, wooded path. After reaching the pond, turn left to head north and begin a clockwise loop around the broader Drummer Hill network. Stay left at major junctions to remain on the perimeter route. After curving northeast, the trail joins the Far Side Trail, which meanders through quiet forest before reaching Old Gilsum Road. Turn left onto Old Gilsum Road, a wide doubletrack corridor, and follow it to the Flying Dog Trail heading west. Flying Dog transitions into tighter singletrack and connects with Lower Drummer Road. Continue south along Lower Drummer to reach the Outback Trail, which curves around to the north, gradually descending back toward Goose Pond. Finish by following the southern shoreline west to return to the trailhead. This route blends scenic lakeside hiking with varied terrain and a mix of trail types.
