This loop starts off the Eastern Parking Area and heads south, for a short ways. The trail turns left and climbs up along the slopes of the hill. The trail passes by a few views, one where you can see Lake Champlain, before descending the ridge. It descends to Red Trail and turns left, along the old road. It ends when it reaches the junction with White Trail.
