Description
This is a very flat trail unless you decide to complete the Scorpion Canyon Loop Trail as well. Beginning at the boating dock, you'll hike towards the visitor center. Continue on past the picnic area and through the Eucalyptus grove. Be on the look out for Monarch butterflies, especially in early winter. Pass through the first campgrounds and beyond the intersection of Potato Harbor Road. ou'll come upon another camping area as well as a bathroom. The trail continues on counterclockwise as the Scorpion Canyon Loop Trail, if you want to complete a loop that also uses Smugglers Road.
