Description
Coyote Road is an old ranch road that is a long straight shot through the park. It starts in the southern end of the park at the intersection with Bobcat Ridge Trail and Yaupon Trail and ends at the northern park boundary at the junction with Pecan Bottom Trail. Coyote Road begins in the upland oak forest and gently descends to the banks of the Colorado River at the northern end of the park. The trail surface is mostly a hard-packed road with high amounts of clay, but there are some sandier sections down by the river. At the north end of the park, the trail is shaded by large pecan trees.
