Description
This trail can be accessed off of Cold Creek Trail once you reach High Meadow. Cross the stream and follow a short section of fire road to the trail sign on your left for the Star Lake Trail. Once the trail starts climbing, it will turn to singletrack and steadily climb up the ridgeline to Star Lake. At over 9,000', Star Lake is a beautiful stop for a picnic or overnight stay. This trail can be done as an out-and-back or continue north on the Tahoe Rim Trail to Monument Pass where you can pick up the Monument Pass connector trail back down to High Meadow.
