Loop
This hike begins at the base of Harmon Canyon in the parking lot. Once at the kiosk, head up the primary fire road/trail. It meanders at an easy grade beside a creek, with tall canyon walls and wildflowers on either side. Just past the 1 mile mark, take the right-hand turn up Farr Family Trail 103 which switchbacks to a summit with a bench for viewing. This trail continues the loop, wandering down a ridgeline and reconnecting to the main creek area via Harmon Alternate Trail, and bringing you back to the parking lot.At just over 3 miles total, this isn't the longest hike in the greater region, but it is the best opportunity to find nature within the city of Ventura! Oak trees and wildflowers abound, the creek runs nearly year round, and solitude can be found the farther back in the canyon one goes.
The Ventura Land Trust purchased and designated this land in 2019.
