Description
This short lollipop loop travels west from the visitor center to explore the oasis that was the namesake for the city of Twentynine Palms. Although the water that sustains the gathered palms is now pumped in, it's still a pleasant example of how oases can transform the desert landscape. In addtion to several signs that describe the historic and ecological significance of the oasis, visitors will enjoy an assortment of flora and fauna surrounded by an otherwise desolate landscape.
