A Trail

Starting at the Parking area, take the most westerly trail and start a gradual climb. The trail is hardpack for the most part, but it can be soft in the valleys and on the outer edges of corners. Up on top, you'll come to an old car with snakes inside. Let it be! After the third gully you'll come to Shayne's Trail, stay to the right. Within feet of Shayne's Trail you'll again find Shayne's Trail returning to you (a great extra loop) stay left again. Drop into the main gully and head south while climbing gradually up the side. The trail heads south up the wash and eventual crosses it and even joins it for some interesting chute feal. At almost 2.25 miles, the trail heads back at the junction of B Trail and D Trail (the C Trail is just a hundred feet up D Trail from here). Head north down the other side of the main gully. Shelly's Trail branches off to your right at about 2.7 miles. Stay left and expect Shelly's Trail to rejoin you in 0.1 miles. At 3.3 miles Flash Gordon trail joins from the left. Continue right and climb another 0.1 miles to Flash Gordon trailhead on your left. Stay right heading southeast up a gully to Ivan's Trail at 3.6 miles. Stay left and climb the switchbacks to again find Ivan's Trail rolling in from the east. Stay left and keep climbing. At the 4.0 mile mark, you get to shoot down a wash and make a hard right before traversing the rest of the hillside with a gentle downhill and views of the entire complex.
