Description
Buffalo Head is the first loop option encountered from the parking area. Take Lizard Foot Trail to access the start of this trail. The trail is fairly well-packed with some rocks and sand along the edges. It's a fun trail the goes in and out of several drainages. At times, the trail approaches gray ledges of the Curtis Formation (a geologic layer just above the red Entrada formation). Be sure to take a break to take in the view of the Henry Mountains from the far end of the loop before heading back towards the intersection with Landslide Trail.
