Description
Follow along the Adirondack Trail for a simple hike. You'll come across the beautiful Dogwood Pond, a boardwalk over wetlands, and a historical monument of the park's founder, John Patterson. Starting at White Oak Camp off of Hilton Drive, follow the trail southeast for about 0.5 miles and come across the Patterson Monument, erected in the 1920's in memorial of the park's founder, John H. Patterson. Continue along the trail around the Dogwood Pond and overlook. Loop around to return to your car or continue on for a longer adventure through the Wetlands boardwalk "Staged Gates" sculpture and on to the Inspiration Point Trail.
