Point to Point
This section (of the Pinhoti) starts off the Trammel Trailhead (at the western edge of the Talladega National Forest). As the trail begins to ascend the ridge, it crosses over into Clay County. It passes by the summit of Rebecca Mountain and the Hollins Fire Tower. The trail stays on the ridge, then travels along the edge of the next ridge. The trail passes by a small spring (on the right of the trail), before descending to White Gap.
Here, at White Gap, there's a rough trail that leads to a creek. The trail climbs, from White Gap, and stays along the top of the ridge. There's another campsite, with a water trail (nearby), a ways from White Gap. The trail stays along the ridgetop to Hootin' Heights Campsite. On clear days, this campsite offers excellent sunset and sunrise views. The trail descends down to Bulls Gap, and this section ends here.
