Description
If you begin Holbrook Canyon Trail #628, it's more than likely that you'll take this spur in your attempt to follow the trail as closely as possible. If you stick to the canyon bottom proper, despite whatever bush-whacking you encounter, then you'll eventually find the start of Great Western Trail: Sessions Mountians Segment. In any case, this spur follows a good trail for a ways and then leaves you to make your own way up and out of the canyon. Make note of landmarks for the return. When you get nearer to Session's Mountain Road, find the "Holbrook Canyon Trail" sign out in the middle of the field. It's funny to me, because you can't see a trail anywhere near it. If it's getting dark, I recommend taking North Holbrook Route #629 back down to the same trailhead from whence you started. It is much less spooky in the dark.
