Lindy Point Overlook Trail

Begin the trail from the small parking area on Canaan Loop Road just past the Blackwater Falls sled hill. This rocky dirt trail gradually descends through hemlock, spruce, and hardwood forest with a dense rhododendron understory--this can sometimes require ducking to avoid low-hanging branches. After a short time, the forest will begin to open up as you make your way toward Lindy Point, where a fenced platform provides breathtaking, "postcard" views up and down Blackwater Canyon. The trail dead-ends at the overlook; retrace your steps to return to the parking area.
