Description
Starting off in the parking lot of near Cloud Cap inn, you can access the trailhead and also camp right here too. The trail starts off in the forested areas then starts to climb up and across glacial moraines to get your first views of Hood. There is a rock shelter and dispersed camping about a mile up from the parking lot where Tilly Jane Trail #600A and Timberline Trail #600 come together at a junction. After checking out the rock shelter and saying hi to fellow thru-hikers, continue up to Cooper Spur for a grand view or turn right and head towards Eliot Glacier for more views and get on a trail that takes you down the moraine and back to the parking lot.
