There and Back
Take the tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain, or if you're looking for a bigger day, hike to the top instead. From the tram, descend the mountain's south ridge (Top of the World trail) down the wide road. The road soon turns to singletrack, and the climb begins at the saddle between Rendezvous Mountain and Cody Peak. This first bit up a satellite peak is 3rd class with some high steps. The trail keeps to the mellow side of the mountain as it slowly ascends to the top of Cody Peak.Once on top, the views are stupendous. To the south, you can see the adjacent No Name, and Rendezvous peaks. To the east, Jackson Hole extends far north, guarded by the Gros Ventre Range. Idaho's Teton Valley is to the west, and the rest of the Teton Range to the north.
