Most of this trail was constructed for mountain bikes, so the various switchbacks that ease the climb are reasonably banked. The trail is smooth and rolling, but you'll notice the uphill grade. It can be taken either up from the Mt. Jumbo Saddle road or down from the four-way junction on the ridge top.
