Snowball Mountain Trail

The Little Snowball Mountain Trail is a 7 mile out-and-back, with nearly 2,500 feet of elevation gain, that starts at small parking area on the road to Craggy Gardens Picnic Area. The hike begins on a small section of the Mountains to Sea Trail then goes to the trailhead. From the trailhead, prepare for a steady climb, with switchbacks, to Snowball Mountain. From Snowball Mountain, the trail heads downhill to a nice view from Hawkbill Rock. The next 2.5 miles consists of a steady downhill and then a climb to the top of Little Snowball Mountain and a short stretch to the fire tower viewpoint.
