Point to Point
A very steep 2.2 miles to start up to the top of Grandeur Peak. The descent into Mill Creek Canyon isn't as steep but still will hit the quads pretty hard. The descent starts down the west side of the peak and wraps around to the ridgeline to the east. You'll encounter nice, covered areas and exposed areas with shale rock. You'll run into a creek at about mile 4 where I refilled my water bottles. Pipeline enters in at about mile 5 where you follow it until the mouth of the canyon. After Pipeline Trail ends, I recommend keeping your map or Mobile App open for the next mile or two because of the many cross trails before the trailhead.
All Clear
Tough hike up. Lots of vert had my calves burning. Little to no trees almost all the way up so wouldn’t recommend once the sun is up. Hike back down and around was much better. Would probably just do the east side hike twice in a row rather than the whole loop again.
