The Stagecoach Trail (sometimes labelled on park maps as the Yellow Trail) is a 1.25-mile loop trail that rises and falls slightly as it winds around the eastern portion of Sam Houston Jones State Park. Sharing a trailhead with the Longleaf Pine Trail (sometimes labelled as the Blue Trail), the Stagecoach Trail makes a quick left turn before heading through medium-dense forests and trailing along the edge of the Calcasieu River West Fork. The trail follows a narrow sandy path that tends to meander, while wildlife such as armadillo and songbirds can be seen along the hike. Eventually, the trail meets up again with the Longleaf Pine trail as it returns back to the trailhead. Note that the low-lying portions of the trail have a tendency to get very muddy following wet weather. There are no amenities at the trailhead.
