This out of the way trail provides access to the Lola Lakes, then climbs to the Cape Horn divide for a great overview of the drainage. However, you shouldn't to stop there! Continue along the ridge, past a couple false summits about a mile for stunning views of the Sawtooths, the White Clouds, and the valley to the South. The hike ends at Cape Horn Mountain. From there, you'll look down on Collie Lake and the Collie Lake drainage. Even if you don't want to go all the way to Cape Horn Mountain, you'll at least want to hike a the few hundred feat to the first high point on the ridge to get the mountain views, which are hidden from view when you are at the divide.I didn't go to the Lola Lakes but they are only about .25 mile off the trail. There is a sign along the trail that shows the where to diverge to get to the upper lake. It looks like it would be easy cross country hiking to get there.
