Description
Starting at the church parking lot, head past the gate and follow the white-blazed White Trail to the left. The trail is all singletrack that leads through covered forest and, in some areas, along an elevated river bank. Take the White Trail along the river, turning left at the purple blaze onto the Purple Trail. Follow the Purple Trail uphill. The trail starts off as singletrack while climbing into to the forest. The trail reaches the old forest road and turns left for a quick downhill before continuing to climb up to the intersection with the Yellow Trail. At the turn, follow the Yellow Trail south back to the river. The trail is mostly singletrack with some wider sections near the north end. While the grades are challenging, the trail isn't overly strenuous, and this is especially pleasant as it is well-shaded. The trail has yellow blazes every 10-20 yards, so navigating isn't too confusing. At the river, take the White Trail west back to the church.
