Description
This is much more work than 30 minutes on the stair climber at the gym! Invest in some good hiking shoes/boots. Your feet will thank you! The trail is very well maintained, but good footwear will make the uneven terrain more enjoyable especially at the day's end. I read several reviews before going that recommended taking more water than you think you'll need. That advice is spot on. We took 72oz each, and it was just about perfect. We each had some leftover when we got back to the car. We also took hiking sticks which were very helpful until we reached the first set of cables. The cables were very helpful ascending/descending. It was a challenging, yet beautiful and rewarding hike!
