Description
The southern end of the trail begins near the Pico Camp shelter just off the AT where a short connector leads you to the peak of Pico Mountain. The Sherburne Trail descends north down the mountain, starting with a couple scrambles, but descends quickly into the lush forest of Pico. As the trail continues, it mellows out near the trailhead at Sherburne Pass where you'll need to cross Route 4 to the remaining section of the trail adjacent to The Long Trail Inn.
