Description
FS42-1 is an easy forest road that connects the main highway GA60 to the !Bull Mountain area. FS42-1 ends at the Gooch Gap parking area, but the road continues as Cooper Gap Road FS42-2. The Appalachian Trail crosses the road at Gooch Gap and Cooper Gap. These roads are great for hiking if the !Bull Mountain trails are too wet or if it's freeze-thaw season. Wear orange if it's hunting season.
