Shaggy Mane Trail

Since the trail stays near the outer perimeter of the park for the most part, it can be accessed from any of the parking lots. I recommend the north lot so that you can get the steepest climb out of the way early. The signage on the trail makes junctions easy to navigate. In very dry conditions, expect large amounts of loose dust; in wet conditions the trail is fairly tacky, with puddles and mud only forming in a few low-lying areas.
