Description
Fourteen Mile Creek Trail is located at the far south end of CC Divide, descending to the Clark Fork River Valley. The trail starts with moderate grades as it follows a ridgeline southeast below the peak of Patrick's Knob. The views are spectacular. Just before half-way, the route wraps around the nose of a slope and then quickly traverses a saddle before dropping into the top of the Fourteen Mile Creek drainage. From here, the grade steepens until the lower reaches of the trail. There are a couple of tight switchbacks before the route finishes at a dirt road on the north side of the Clark River.
