Description
Uf Dah (a Norwegian expression of surprise, astonishment, or exhaustion) is a minimally improved loop making excellent use of the natural terrain of tight narrow ravines and ridges at the edge of the Swedetown Trails property. It starts off running along the rim of a ravine, then suddenly drops down into a series of side ravines, with very sudden transitions, compressions, and climbs, finally dropping into the bottom of the main ravine along a very narrow bench. It then climbs a steep, rooted section between close trees back out, along a center ridge, then again down new side ravines, sweeping back and forth at times, with the peaks of the sweeps often on significant, rooty side slopes. It then climbs out of the final ravine with a short respite of flatter ground through a meadow and woods, returning you to Porcupine Loop.
