Follow this trail to the namesake falls through thick mixed pine, fir, and cedar forest. Keep in mind most of the elevation gain is right at the beginning of the trail and in the 1/2 mile or so just before the falls. The rise is quite steep in some sections with minimal switch-backing. There is an option to continue on a trail beyond the falls all the way to Lucifer Lake above the falls to the east, but keep in mind it is NOT MAINTAINED. This option is VERY STEEP and it is easy to lose the trail due to thick vegetation and many offshoot trails. Those seeking to reach Lucifer Lake should be comfortable with orienteering skills and be prepared for "bushwhacking-like" conditions.
