Description
This segment of trail offers quite a bit different experience from its neighboring Ice Age Trail: Devil's Lake Segment. This section is relatively quiet and a bit flatter, heading through lightly rolling terrain composed of meadows, occasional stands of trees and agricultural areas. There are sections with sand dunes, along with wetlands as well. There are plenty of opportunities to see a wide variety of waterfowl and birds through this section. The trail is singletrack, but does encounter boardwalks, mowed prairie, and some road crossings. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful section of trail.
