Start near the north side of the Coyote Ridge playground and soccer fields. The climb up to the ridge is steep in places and can get rutted out at times. Follow the ridge past the electrical substation before a flowy descent to join the main portion of the East West Regional Trail at the Monarch Rd Tunnel. The trail is wide and mostly smooth dirt.
