Description
This trail is more of an access trail than a destination trail, providing access between the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (north of Red Butte Canyon) and the Red Butte Skyline Trail (Rough Riders) and/or the Mt. Van Cott Trail. There are several ribbons of singletrack here, but the best route is typically the higher elevation option when you come to an intersection (from either the east or west end). As you near the eastern end of this section, there is a three-way intersection in a small canyon--left/north will take you up the Mt. Van Cott Trail, and right/south will take you to the Red Butte Skyline Trail (Rough Riders) and/or other singletrack options that parallel Red Butte Canyon Road (with the option to head directly for Red Butte Canyon Road if desired).
