This trail connects the Bays Mountain trail system to the Laurel Run Trail that goes to Laurel Run Park. The trail also connects to the Pretty Ridge Trail. Starting from its northern junction with the Indian Pipes Trail and the Pretty Ridge Trail, the Kiner Hollow Trail descends gradually for about a mile before coming to a junction with the Laurel Run Trail. From this junction, it is a short and steep climb to the trail's terminus with the Pretty Ridge Trail.
