Rock Springs Loop Trail

This loop trail passes to the right of the historic Rock House, then drops down into the Rock Spring drainage. At the beginning there's an interpretive sign that gives a brief history of the area, and the standard warnings for leaving the comfort and safety of your vehicle. There are numerous carsonite markers that define the trail, and a few interpretive signs that describe the history of this area. From the parking area the trail quickly reaches a split in the trail, and the Rock House. Here there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and local desert plants. From the house, turn right to descend along the southern fork of the loop. After about 0.5 miles you'll reach Rock Spring (there may or may not be water running). After leaving the drainage, the trail climbs back up along the northern side of the loop and meets back at the Rock House. Here, turn right to head back to your car. Watch out for the bushes that are growing close to the trail, they have stickers and thorns.
