Point to Point
After parking in the lot across from the Stevens Pass Mountain Resort, start making your way up a trail near some workers' lodgings. This steep trail will challenge you, but stop for rest and turn around to view the pass and a fresh view of the resort activities. Look for the left hand turn to the Lake about 3/4 of the way up or continue to the Skyline Ridge and double back. A small but beautiful lake awaits after a level jaunt through an airy forest. Skirt the north side of the lake and continue up to another point for a panoramic view of the pass and the Wellington/Tye Rd. area below.
This route is an excellent choice for a winter snowshoe adventure!

Snowshoed up to the lake and beyond to the peak. There were only a few people out there with their dogs. The snow up the first 1/2 mile is packed and slick, and spikes would be good to have. I had snowshoes and had no issues. Snow on the lake is deep, fresh, and fun to walk in. Went up to the peak, and the trail to follow is somewhere. I basically hiked straight up,p which was tough,gh but the views at the top of the mountains and resort were amazing.
