Point to Point
From the museum parking lot, the trailhead will head to the west and is well-marked. This trail is challenging and travels along contours and traverses fairly steep ridges. The entire trail, except where it cuts across a powerline easement, is within dense hardwood canopy consisting of maples, various oaks, and hickory trees. The trail bed varies and consists of exposed bedrock, earth, and gravel. Exposed roots are abundant and early morning dew or rain can make for a slippery surface on these and exposed bedrock.
