Galena River Trail: Aiken Segment

Access the trail via the Aiken trailhead located on S. River Road approximately 0.5 miles south of the intersection of S. River Road and W. Hart John Road. Follow the trail west past a few houses. The trail curves northwest and the Mississippi River comes into view. About 1.1 miles from the trailhead, you'll see a steep trail on your right that leads up the bluff to Casper Bluff Land and Water Reserve, which has several additional trails to explore. Continue along the trail past the cliff on your right. This segment of the trail ends after 2.3 miles, at which point the trail turns northeast and follows the Galena River to the City of Galena (see Galena River Trail).
