Description
The entrances to this trail are located on the eastern side of Deer Park Rd. If you start at the southern entrance to the trail, you'll have a very wide singletrack that will take you to the Choate Mine viewing area (note that this mine is closed and hazardous so you can not actually enter the mine). Continue eastward on the trail through the dirt singletrack, and you'll come to a decision point where you can continue on any of the surrounding trails. If you choose to continue on the Choate Mine Trail (Red Trail), you'll stay left and eventually come to the next clearing where there is more barren serpentine rock on the northern side of the trail. This will dump you back out just a few hundred feet from the southern entrance where you started. Lace up and get out there!
