Description
This is a good way to access the Central Trail and hike the rest of the park. Please note that the park is developing a cross-country trail system and soon this route will be limited to foot traffic. This is an added bonus for most hikers, and traffic will soon decrease. Follow the road toward the lodge and turn left immediately after crossing the stream. This trail will take you to Tower Trail. The trail itself is well marked, making it difficult to get lost along the way. Though short, there are a pair of quick and steep climbs that will get you warmed up for further hiking on the Central Trail. Enjoy the shade on this route, as it can be hard to come by in the summer months!
